When we will open?

We are pleased to announce that we are re-opening our libraries for public access under the current State Government three-step approach to lifting the COVID-19 restrictions across South Australia.

The Berri Library, because it is a joint use library that also services school clients from Glossop High School, will open for public access from 3.30pm in the afternoon of Friday 15th May.

Our Barmera Library will open from 9.30am on Monday 18th May.

*We are initially opening our Berri Library with reduced public library access hours as we share our library service with the Department for Education and are open to staff and students of Glossop High School from 8.30am – 3.20pm Monday to Friday. We are enforcing social distancing and other measures to keep library staff and all our customers safe. We will be taking advice from the State Government in regards to further extending our public library opening hours at a later date.

What services will we be offering?

We will open under a different service delivery model in accordance with the Stage 1 for Easing of COVID-19 Restrictions: –

  • Maximum of 10 people (not counting staff) in the library at any one time.
  • Browsing and borrowing services will be available.
  • Holds and reservations service.
  • Library returns service.
  • Public access computer use limited to one 15-minute booking per day.
  • Photocopying and printing will be available but with staff assistance.
