Latest Update (14 May 2020):  We are pleased to announce that we are re-opening our libraries for public access under the current State Government three-step approach to lifting the COVID-19 restrictions across South Australia.

The Berri Library, because it is a joint use library that also services school clients from Glossop High School, will open for public access from 3.30pm in the afternoon of Friday 15th May.

Our Barmera Library will open from 9.30am on Monday 18th May.

Please check here for more information about our revised opening times, the library services we are offering and the safety precautions are we taking.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming our customers back to our libraries!

Family History and Ancestry.com Access

Ancestry.com is a great online resource that you can usually only access from your local SA Public Library or by paying for a personal subscription yourself. GREAT NEWS!  As the COVID-19 crisis has meant many libraries have had to close to the public, the vendor has provided remote access to this product until the end of May.

About
Ancestry Library Edition provides access to an extensive range of genealogical resources from the United States and United Kingdom, including census, vital, church, court, and immigration records. It also provides limited Australian coverage.

PC access
This service is usually only available using computers within the library, however for a limited time One Card SA Public Library members can access the service remotely (e.g. on their home computer) by heading to https://www.libraries.sa.gov.au/digital

To access:
1. Visit here
2. Log in with your library card number & PIN
