This week is Australian Library & Information Week ! ! ! The aim of National Library & Information Week is to raise the profile of libraries and information service professionals in Australia and gives libraries and information services the opportunity to showcase their resources, facilities, events, contacts and services through different programs and events to the community. Barmera celebrates Library & Information Week 2015 with lots of great activities. This year Barmera Library have put together a special program that runs from the 25th-31st May 2015 and we want you to come in and help us celebrate! A summary of the weeks events is below:
- Learn Basic Reading, Thursday 28th May, 4-5.30pm
- Read a book/ watch the DVD free competition
- Free Photo Booth
- A week long book sale, fill your bag for $5.00!
Berri Library & Information Centre have a Library Week 2015 Display and you can vote for you favourite author and books! We also have a great mini book sale happening and all books, DVD’s etc. are selling at the discount Library Week price of $1.00 each! Come in a get yourself a bargain. At 10.30am on Wednesday 27th May we will take part in the National Simultaneous Storytime with a visiting junior primary class from the Riverland Special School. Don’t forget to come in and take part in our Baby Rhyme time session on Wednesday at 10.30am and our weekly Children’s Activity on Thursday at 10.30am and help us celebrate Australian Library & Information Week.
