Just wanted to let our customers know that as a result of the big thunder and hail storm that hit the Riverland this evening, both Berri and Barmera libraries will be closed Saturday morning, 12th November 2016.

At Berri we had major flood damage around our public internet, DVD and magazine reading areas as well as our staff workroom.  We have also had a ceiling collapse near our public toilets. At Barmera we had water come in through the ceiling and impact on our customer service area, public internet workstations and large print and audio book collections.

We hope to be open Monday depending on clean-up service availability over the weekend.  Fortunately it appears there is only a small amount of damage to our library stock, mainly at Barmera.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but please remember you can use your One Card at other Riverland Public Libraries on Saturday morning!  Please contact Peter Ison, Library Manager at pison@bbc.sa.gov.au if you require further information.
