Both Berri and Barmera libraries experienced some flooding resulting from the storm on Friday 11th November.
Berri Library is now open, as at 1pm on Monday 14th November. We would like to thank Glossop High School (and DECD) for arranging a lot of the clean-up. The carpet cleaner sucked more than 700 litres of water out of the library carpet on Saturday afternoon and today we had the electrician in making lighting safe and a builder replacing ceiling tiles and fixing roof leaks. Also a big thank you to the library staff who cleaned up inside and at the front entrance.
At this time, until a better assessment can be made, Barmera Library will need to remain closed as there is a lot of damage to carpet tiles and the audio and large print stock.
