The Barmera Library is hosting this interesting display that traces the history of the South Australian division through stories, images and objects. As part of the world’s largest humanitarian movement, Red Cross has been part of Australian life since the Australian Branch of the British Red Cross was established nine days after the outbreak of the First World War. This is a joint project of History SA and the Red Cross (SA Division). Come in to see a slice of our state’s history at the library between 14 – 19 July 2014.
