Many children enjoyed time at our libraries during the January 2012 school holidays. It was a great way to keep cool and a variety of crafts were on offer with stories, music and games available.
Activities at our Barmera Library included sock puppets, finger puppets, wooden spoon puppets and a puppet theatre production.
Children loved the sock puppets which were made with feathers, foam socks and wobbly eyes!
At Berri we had a science theme and made balloon powered milk carton cars, rubber band boats and whirly gigs.
2012 is the National Year of Reading and we will be celebrating! Follow this linkย for more information about how libraries around the country are embracing this national event.
