The aim of National Library & Information Week is to raise the profile of libraries and information service professionals in Australia and gives libraries and information services the opportunity to showcase their resources, facilities, events, contacts and services through different programs and events to the community.  Find out more about Australian Library & Information Week by visiting the website of the Australian Library & Information Asssociation (ALIA) here.

This year Berri Library & Information Centre have put together a special week long programme and we want you to come in and help us celebrate!  A summary of the weeks events is below:-

  • Monday 19th May, 2-3pm, Using Enterprise and Overdrive (Online Catalogue and accessing free downloadable e-Books)
  • Tuesday 20th May, 5-6pm, Using Enterprise and Overdrive (Online Catalogue and accessing free downloadable e-Books)
  • Wednesday 21st May, 10.30am, Simultaneous Story Time & Children’s Activity
  • Wednesday 21st May, 2-4pm, Family and Oral History Workshop
  • Thursday 22nd May, 9.30-10.30am, iPad Story Time and Children’s Activity
  • Thursday 22nd May, 5-7pm, Riverland Creative Writing Group
  • Thursday 22nd May, 5-7pm, Photography 101 with Daniel Schmidt from ABC Open
  • Friday 23rd May, 10.30am-12.30pm, Hooked on Snapfish (Introduction to Snapfish photobooks) with Diana March
