We are pleased to have Royce Kurmelovs with us from Wednesday 3rd to Friday 12th July. Royce is a journalist and writer who has been widely published and is the author of 3 non-fiction books The death of Holden, Rogue nation and Boom and bust.
Royce is available to connect with local readers and writers and is working madly on his 4th book from his temporary office at the Berri Library.
His official commitments with us include:
- Welcome and morning tea at the Berri Library, Wed 3rd July from 10am
- Writing workshop at the Berri Library, Thu 4th July, 3-4pm
- ‘Writing as a job’, discussion with GHS Yr 11 English students, Fri 5th July, 10am
- One-on-one meetings with people interested in writing, Berri Library Mon 8th July, all day
- Morning tea and informal writing session at Barmera Library, Fri 12th July, 10am
Please book at the library if you would like to attend any of the above events but Royce is very approachable and is happy to talk to anyone interested in writing during his visit.
He will be at Renmark Paringa Public Library doing a similar sort of thing from the 18th of July. We’d like to thank Writers SA for the opportunity of hosting Royce over this time.
